Since 1980, Bettina Desrochers has dedicated her time to tending to the end of life needs of clients, friends, and family members, and has personally attended hundreds of peaceful deaths of aged or terminally ill patients.
She envisioned, funded and began Elder House, a private hospice and respite care home, where she served as Director for seven years. Elder House changed the way end of life care was given in the city of St. Johnsbury , VT – a place where no facility of this kind formerly existed.
Bettina has also served as hospice companion for home health agencies and nursing homes for more than 25 years. She is a Certified Nurse’s Assistant, and her articles on end of life care have been widely published in newspapers and magazines.
She also travels the country speaking on end of life care and issues. She currently works as a private end of life coach, and is the author of an electronic book and companion CD, Ten Things to Do Before Your Die (So You Can Get on With Living.)
